Manga about tea ceremony master Furuta Sasuke launched in 2005, inspired TV anime This year's 48th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine revealed on Thursday that Yoshihiro Yamada's Hyouge Mono manga will return with its "last spurt" on November 2. The issued noted that this last part of the manga will begin before protagonist Furuta Sasuke will die by his own blade after historically being ordered to commit ritual suicide. The manga centers on Furuta Sasuke (Furuta Oribe), a vassal of the great warlord Oda Nobunaga and a man obsessed with tea ceremony and material desires in his pursuit of a fortuitous life. Having learned from Oda and the legendary tea master Sen no Sōeki, Furuta walks the way of the "Hyouge Mono." Yamada launched the manga in Morning in 2005, and Kodansha published the manga's 24th compiled book volume on June 23. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in 2011. The manga won the Grand Prize in the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prizes in 2010.
