News Zelda: Twilight Princess Manga Takes Break, Returns in January
Creator duo Akira Himekawa stated that break is to compose story for finale, "recharge" themselves

Shogakukan's MangaONE app revealed on Sunday that Akira Himekawa's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga will take a break, and will return on January 22. Himekawa's comment stated that the duo are taking the hiatus to compose the story for the finale, and to "recharge" themselves and recover their health.

The manga's fourth volume is slated for December.

Manga creator duo Himekawa launched the Twilight Princess manga in MangaONE in February 2016, where it serializes every other week. Twilight Princess marks the pair's return to drawing The Legend of Zelda manga after an eight-year hiatus. Shogakukan published the manga's third volume in Japan on May 26.

Viz Media licensed the manga, and released its second volume on August 8.

Himekawa serialized The Legend of Zelda manga series from 1998 to 2008. The duo drew a prologue to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword game in 2011.

Viz Media also published Himekawa's The Legend Of Zelda: Legendary Edition, which is a new series of two-in-one releases of the pair's The Legend of Zelda manga. Each of the five omnibus volumes contain two volumes of the original series with new covers, colored artwork, and a larger printing format. Viz Media previously published all 10 volumes in the series in singular volumes.
