News Crunchyroll Adds Gunslinger Girl Anime to Catalog
13-episode series originally aired in 2003-2004



Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it has added the Gunslinger Girl television anime series to its catalog lineup. The anime is available for members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

The Social Welfare Agency saves the lives of terminal patients using cybernetic implants. Then it teaches them to kill. After surviving the slaughter of her family, young Henrietta awakens to her new life at the Agency with a rebuilt body and no memory. Teamed with Jose, who is responsible for turning her into the perfect assassin, Henrietta's been given a second chance—but at what cost?

The 13-episode television anime series originally aired in 2003-2004. Funimation first released the series on DVD in 2005 with rereleases in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2011. The company also released the anime on Blu-ray Disc in 2010 and 2016.
