He will also grant them one wish, but in exchange they shall risk their lives by accepting the responsibility of fighting witches.

Invisible to human eyes, witches are catalysts of despair in the areas they inhabit. An ally of Kyube, a magical girl named Mami Tomoe, befriends and encourages the two girls to accept the contract.

For an unknown reason, another magical girl named Homura Akemi is determined to prevent Madoka from accepting the deal.

2. Cardcaptor Sakura

Sakura Kinomoto was an ordinary 4th grader until the day she opened a strange book and let dozens of powerful magic cards loose on the world.

Keroberos, the Guardian of the Clow Cards, informs Sakura that it is now her responsibility to find and capture the freed cards.

However, much to the reluctant Sakura’s dismay, things aren’t going to be easy for her; simply saying magic words and waving her wand around isn’t good enough.

Yuuno Scraia is a mage from a distant planet working to fix the problem he started when Jewel Seeds were accidentally spread around the world.

However, his battle with the seeds did not end upon reaching the Earth and he needs somebody else’s help to seal the seeds for him.

Takamachi Nanoha hears his telepathic cries for help and comes to his rescue.

When she is given a pearl known as the Raging Heart she is able to transform into Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and wield a staff to fend off the evil that lies within the Seeds.

In order to help Yuuno complete his mission, she needs to seal all 21 Jewel Seeds away, but Fate may be playing a hand in the matter to prevent Nanoha’s goals.

5. Full Moon o Sagashite

Twelve-year-old Kouyama Mitsuki was devastated when she was diagnosed with a malignant tumor of the throat.

She had made a promise to the boy she loves that she would one day become a singer, but her illness made singing impossible.

To make matters even worse, two angels of death, Takuto and Meroko, appeared to Mitsuki and informed her that she only had one year left to live.

This news provides an even greater motivation for Mitsuki to fulfill her dreams, and with a little bit of divine intervention, she begins her quest to become a professional singer so she can be reunited with Eichi before time runs out.

Ayumu Aikawa is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe.

7. Shugo Chara!

Every child has an egg in their heart, unseen at first, an egg with the would-be self of their dreams.

Hinamori Amu, part of a group called the Guardians, protect those eggs from becoming x-eggs, eggs filled with resentment and resignation that gives children troubles.

Amu’s job is to capture and restore x-eggs to their orginal form. She does this with the help of her three Shugo Chara, Ran, Miki and Su.

Thanks to them she can change her character and abilities, and so fight against the mysterious organization Easter which aim is to find a special egg called Embryo using the x-eggs.

8. Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei!

It has been a month since Illya and Miyu became magical girls and sealed all of the Class Cards.

Rin and Luvia have been forced to remain in Japan to clean up the aftermath, such as the now-unstable magic in the area’s ley lines.

While helping with the cleanup, the seal on Illya’s mysterious innate magic goes berserk and she loses control of her transformation.

Momona herself hesitantly accepts the offer and she and Ruby decides to work together in order to achieve her goal.

But standing in their way is both Lillian and her Jewelpet Partner, Luea who also wants the said title.

10. Sugar Sugar Rune

Chocolat Meilleure is a happy-going and optimistic girl. Together with her friend-cum-rival, Vanilla Mieux, they are potential candidates to become Queen of the magic world.

After obtaining their magic wands, they set off to the human world to gather the hearts of unsuspecting humans.

Whoever gets the most hearts will be the crowned Queen. The hearts reflect the feelings of each and every individual and as a result, these hearts have different colors.

The value of each heart will be dependent on its color and based on the value of the hearts they have collected, the candidates can buy the goods that they want back in the magic world.
