Rivalries between characters in an anime is one of the most interesting part of the whole series.

It can come in any form like rivalries for love, romance, goals, ideals and some are just so insecure with each other every time they meet.

That’s just how rivalries work.But in some anime we’ve seen, some rivalries turns out to be the greatest friendships ever had after a long journey.

Hence, there are rivalries who would never have a god ending except to keep fighting until they get tired of it.

Here are the greatest rivalries We’ve seen on anime throughout the past few years and these rivalries are so epic they leave a mark on anime history:

1. Light Yagami Versus L Lawliet  (Death Note)

The rivalry between these two doesn’t necessarily need the “BRAWL” but the brains. Light Yagami uses a shinigami notebook as his power to take away peoples lives in an instant and L Lawliet is the best investigator there is who is capable of solving the crime and catching Light for his wrong doings.

 

2. Edward Elric and Scar  (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

Both are alchemist who is totally the opposite to each other, Scar is capable of an alchemy only to destroy,and Edward is capable of create and reshape.

3. Shizuo Heiwajima Versus Izaya Orihara (Durarara!!)

Every time these two crosses paths they just want to kill each other,and for what reason?Well I guess they got nothing more interesting to do. But their rivalry is really fun to watch especially for the damages they do like the flying objects during their fights.

4. Goku and Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z)

One of the most epic rivalry in anime history, the battles between the super-saiyan Goku and Vegeta are just beyond compare I couldn’t say anything more.

5. Naruto Uzumaki Versus Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto Shippuden)

Ever since the Naruto series started, we have always seen these two conflict with each other even though they are put on the same team under Kakashi.

6. Lelouch Vi Britannia Versus Suzaku Kururugi (Code Geass)

Childhood friends turned rivals after realizing they choose different paths to make a change, the peaceful way and the other resorts to violence and chaos.

 

7. Natsu Dragnel and Gray FullBuster (Fairy Tail)

Both is from the same guild but the friendly rivalry between these two never ends trying to prove who is more powerful. Their fights are fun to watch especially when Erza interferes to stop them.
