2nd OVA inspires stage play adaptation that runs on September 13-18 The official website for the Magical Suite Prism Nana OVA project began streaming the anime's second OVA on Monday to promote the franchise's upcoming stage play adaptation (which is based on this OVA). The video will be available until September 18. The episode is titled "Hoshizora-hen" (Starry Sky Story). Seiya Numata wrote and directed the episode, and Rina Iwamoto designed the characters. The second episode screened at an event in April 2016. The first episode, titled "Yume Kanaetai...!? Kibō no Advance (Zenpen)" (I Want to Make Your Dream Come True...!? Advance of Hope: First Part), screened at an event in November 2015. Yukihiro Miyamoto directed the episode, with a script by Miku Ooshima, and character designs by Kazuya Shiotsuki. Veteran creator Mark McKenna has published a couple of delightful “Banana Tail” children’s books over the years, and now gives his creation, a monkey with a banana for a tail, a true comic book treatment in the form of “Boonana Tail Halloween Special.” This anthology consists of five new stories featuring his character and his cast of friends all with mild and innocently spooky themes, which missed Halloween by a week but can be enjoyed mostly by children, but also by their parents to a lesser extent. Other comic veterans like Jim Calafiore and Fabian Nicieza are among the dozen or so creators all contributing to this special that carries the same kind of delight as McKenna’s past books. Leadoff story “Boo!” by McKenna and Calafiore is the comic’s longest and strongest entry, and features Banana Tail, Reena and Tic Tac getting lost in the woods after a scare, getting split up and finding themselves in an even scarier situation. Mob Psycho 100's Hiroshi Seko scripts, Yuri!!! on Ice's MAPPA animates 2018 Noitamina show A website has opened at midnight on Monday to announce that a television anime adaptation of Akimi Yoshida's Banana Fish manga has been green-lit. Series to debut on Amazon Prime Video before TV premiere The official website for Den'ei Shōjo ~Video Girl Ai 2018~, the new live-action television series based on Masakazu Katsura's Video Girl Ai (Den'ei Shōjo) manga, announced on Tuesday that Nogizaka 46's Nanase Nishino will play the title character Ai Amano. It is Nishino's first starring role in a television series, though she previously starred in the Ashinagu live-action film. The website also revealed that episodes will stream one week early on Amazon Prime Video in Japan. The series will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates in January 2018. Nishino joins Shūhei Nomura (live-action Chihayafuru, Lychee Light Club, Typhoon Noruda), who is playing Shō Moteuchi. Kazuaki Seki (music videos for Perfume, Gen Hoshino) is directing the live-action series, and Kohei Kiyasu (a voice actor on Hajime no Ippo, Fafner, and The Prince of Tennis) is writing the scripts after penning Destruction Babies and The Kirishima Thing
