Marvel Comics has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at next week’s X-Men Gold #11 from writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Lan Medina. On sale next Wednesday, September 6, the issue furthers the X-Men’s latest exploits in Mother Russia as they face off against their classic foe, Omega Red. California court upholds 2002 agreement with Tatsunoko A California court in June upheld a license agreement between Harmony Gold U.S.A. Inc. and Tatsunoko Production, affirming that Harmony Gold's license to The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada will expire on March 14, 2021. Harmony Gold can continue to make derivative works, including live-action adaptations, of all three titles, until the license expires. All licenses and sublicenses will revert back to Tatsunoko at that time unless both parties extend the agreement. Harmony Gold owns the title Robotech in perpetuity, but when its license expires it will no longer be able to use or exploit works that are derivative of the three anime titles. Arbitrition Case Harmony Gold initiated arbitration against Tatsunoko in November 2016. Tatsunoko responded with counterclaims seeking US$15 million in damages, claiming Harmony Gold had breached contract

Baccano!/Durarara!!'s Noboru Takagi handles series composition Geno Studio announced on Monday that it will produce the television anime adaptation of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga. The company had teased on Tuesday that it would reveal three new television anime projects on Monday. Hitoshi Nanba (Fate/Grand Order: First Order, Gosick, Heroman, Baki the Grappler, We have always been 10 cm apart.) is directing the series, and Noboru Takagi (Baccano!, Durarara!!, Altair: A Record of Battles, Kuroko's Basketball) is handling the series composition. Kenichi Ohnuki (Gundam Build Fighters, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, Samurai Gun) is adapting the character designs for animation. Fuji TV producer Kōji Yamamoto established Geno Studio in 2015. The studio is a 100% subsidiary company of the anime production company Twin Engine. Funko today released the first preview image for the company’s upcoming Blue Beetle and Booster Gold Pop! Heroes two-pack. The figures, which come packaged together, are slated to be released in November and will be available at neighborhood comic book shops. Created by Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski, Blue Beetle first appeared in Mystery Men Comics #1 in 1939. The character was originally a rookie cop who used vitamin supplements to give himself super strength. At the time of his debut, the character was owned by Fox Comics. The rights to Blue Beetle weren’t picked up by DC Comics until 1983. Once the character was purchased by DC Comics, his backstory was retconned so that he was a teenager who found the Blue Beetle suit, which allowed him fight crime across the Earth and outer space. Last week’s The Mighty Thor #700, by longtime Thor writer Jason Aaron and artists Russell Dauterman, Daniel Acuña, Walter Simonson and many others, saw the series launch headlong into the Marvel Legacy era.
