Spoon Oba-san actress was 84



Voice actress Reiko Seno (real name Reiko Tamaki) passed away on August 8. She was 84.

Seno's best known anime role was the title character of the Spoon Oba-san television series, which ran from 1983 to 1984. She also lent her voice to minor roles in other anime, including Himitsu no Akko-chan, Panda! Go, Panda!, Eden of the East: Paradise Lost, and True Tears.

As a voiceover artist, she provided the Japanese dub for Lucille Ball in the I Love Lucy television series. She also acted on stage as part of the Theatre Echo troupe.
